The Queen’s Virtues series from the East India Trading Company is the perfect tribute to queens and the virtues they aspire to. For its design, the mint turned to the Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace for inspiration. The virtue for the latest coin in the series is truth, and it is represented by an angelic figure holding a mirror symbolizing self-reflection.

These are proof coins, meaning they have frosted design elements and mirror-like fields. In addition, each coin has an elegant gold-plated finish.

The obverse side of 2021 1 oz Proof Queen’s Virtues Truth Coins features Queen Elizabeth II. This crowned bust shows Her Majesty in right-profile relief wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem crown. Around her neck is the Coronation necklace originally made for Queen Victoria in 1858. This 2015 design by Jody Clark represents only the fifth portrait of the Queen ever used for British coinage. Along the rim are the coin’s hallmarks.

On the reverse of the 2021 1 oz Silver Queen’s Virtues Truth Coin is the allegorical representation of truth depicted as a gilded winged angelic figure holding a mirror. Beside her is an innocent child with a palm branch. This beautiful artwork is inspired by the Victoria Memorial at Buckingham Palace. Along the sides of the coin are the Latin words Vincit Omnia Veritas, meaning Truth Conquers All.
