China’s Panda series are among the world’s most revered collectible numismatic coins, and each year they are highly sought-after by collectors. Beginning in the 1980’s many of the world’s largest money fairs began issuing commemorative Proofs combining elements of the show with unique Panda designs.

The 2021 design combines historic landmarks of Chicago along with the iconic Pandas. The obverse mimics the Panda design that would have been issued by the China Mint in 2013 – the second year that the ANA’s World’s Fair of Money would have been in Chicago during the new millennium. The trio of Pandas are shown near the ANA’s official seal ( which is colored gold), with 2021 and the Proof’s specifications are along the outer rim. The reverse features a panoramic view (from Lake Michigan of the Chicago Skyline and the famous Navy Pier area. Above the design, is “World’s Fair of Money in English and Mandarin Chinese.
