The Gods of Olympus are back at Perth Mint and the beloved designs from the previous two collections in 2014 and 2015 are once again in production at the mint. This time around, Perth has expanded the metal types, weights, and finishes available in the series while delivering the same popular designs issued nearly a decade ago.

In 2014-2015, the Perth Mint introduced a 2 oz antique silver coin series known as the Gods of Olympus. The collection first featured the three most prominent male deities from Ancient Greece: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. In 2015, the series went on to offer three depictions of the most well-known goddesses from Olympus: Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. In 2020, the mint launched a new series with these same deities featured on a wider range of blanks.

Queen Elizabeth II graces the obverse of all 2022 Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Silver Coins. This design is the popular 1998 depiction of Queen Elizabeth II from Ian Rank-Broadley. Designed as the fourth-generation portrait of Her Majesty for British coinage, this design proved so popular that it is still in use with various Commonwealth Nations in 2022.

Hera is depicted in the reverse design of 2022 1 oz Tuvalu Hera Silver Coins. Her figure is shown in a seated position upon a throne in the Temple of Hera. The design shows a lion seated at her right side and a peacock standing to her left. She is clutching a lotus staff in her left hand as she sits.
