The 2022 Republic of Chad 1oz Silver Coin was struck to mark theĀ 50th Anniversary of the Pioneer Plaque which was shot out of our solar system in 1972.
The reverse of the coin features a design based on the original Pioneer Plaque. The design features a man and woman standing naked with an elaborate pattern in the background.
The obverse features another design based on the plaque which is intended to be understandable by extraterrestrial life. the coat of arms for the Republic Of Chad also appears, along with the year-date weight and fineness.
- Each coin weighs 31.10g and is struck in 999.0 silver.
