Welcome to the first release in a new series from 101 Collectibles. Masters of Empires celebrates the visionary leaders of some of the great empires of history. The first coin in the series features Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus, also known as Octavian, the founder of the Roman Empire. His reign stretched from 27BC, until his death in 14AD. The coin features three key features

A representation of Augustus effigy, featuring laurel wreath, on a background of bricks representing the Rome Augustus inherited.

A unique micro coin insert- 3mm silver insert- which features an image of the Pax Romana coin issued under his reign, which commemorated the years of peace he bought the empire, after a period of civil war.

The right of the Obverse features fine marble statues representing the Rome that Augustus left upon his death.

Features: 40mm Antiqued 1Oz silver coin, featuring a unique 3mm silver micro-coin insert. The larger coin features a Cindy Contato design with the bust of Emperor Augustus on a field of brick, looking forward to richly detailed statues and columns of marble. The micro-coin features a replica of the Pax Romana coin, issued under Augustus to commemorate the extended period of peace Rome enjoyed under his rule.
