We are excited to bring you a new collectible to commemorate the 80th anniversary of WONDER WOMAN™, whose first appearance was in All Star Comics #8 in December 1941. This event deserved something very special, so we’ve created a unique, 50mm diameter pure silver coin to allow room for coloured and engraved images of WONDER WOMAN through the ages, as well as the official 80th anniversary logo.
One of the most beloved and iconic DC Super Heroes of all time, WONDER WOMAN has stood for eighty years as a symbol of truth, justice and equality to people everywhere. Raised on the hidden island of Themyscira, also known as Paradise Island, Diana is an Amazon, like the figures of Greek legend, and her people’s gift to humanity.
The packaging for this incredible keepsake has also been specially designed, adorned with images of WONDER WOMAN’s evolution and the official anniversary logo. The black, gloss coin box opens to reveal the coin nestled in striking red velvet and houses the Certificate of Authenticity. This certificate confirms the coin’s unique number in the limited mintage of 1,941 – a mintage that reflects the year that WONDER WOMAN debuted! The obverse of the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The coins are legal tender in Niue.
