In 1922, the discovery of King Tuts tomb in Egypt rocked the world. The discovery shed light on a little-known pharaoh from the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Egyptian history. King Tut was only known at the time as the famed Boy King for having ascended to the throne as Pharaoh of Egypt at the age of 8 or 9.
In the obverse design of 2022 Antique Djibouti Silver 100 Years of Tutankhamun Puzzle Coins, you will find a depiction of the Mask of Tutankhamun. His burial tomb included an astonishing golden death mask that offers the best visual the modern world has of the famous King Tut who died around 1323 BC. This side of the coin includes five individually created puzzle pieces. Each one fits around the central design of King Tuts mask, is removable from the surface of the coin, and comes with a thin plating of 24-karat gold.
The reverse side of 2022 500 Gram Antique Djibouti Silver 100 Years of Tutankhamun Puzzle Coin comes with an image of the coat of arms of Djibouti. The design element includes a shield at the center with hands holding short swords on either side. The shield includes a spear running vertically through its center with a star just above the tip of the spear.
