This coin is the 19th issue in the Austrian Mint’s renowned Silver Niobium Coin series, dedicated to the world’s technological journey. The theme of this particular coin is “Smart Mobility.”

First of all, the coin focuses on smart and sustainable urban transport. In addition, the Austrian Mint strikes it from a combination of .900 fine silver and niobium. The refraction of light on an extremely thin, transparent oxide layer on the niobium core creates the coin’s unique two-tone design. The obverse of the coin shows a detailed blueprint of a futuristic air taxi, symbolizing a vision of advanced digitization in transport. Meanwhile, the reverse focuses on the ecological benefits of smart mobility, with the outer silver ring highlighting public transport and the inner niobium core featuring a bicycle and a scooter, representing sustainable individual transport.
