Introduced in 2018, the Niue Roaring Lion Head bullion series features the prominent national and cultural symbol of the Jewish people. The coin series is available on an annual basis with a 1 oz silver bullion option to investors. On top of being a Brilliant Uncirculated coin, the specimen has collectible appeal courtesy of its limited mintages.
The Lion of Judah is the primary design element of the reverse in the Roaring Lion Head Series. The Lion of Judah is mentioned throughout the Torah, with the first mention coming in the Book of Genesis when it was given to Judah by his father Jacob. The Torah notes that the lion became the symbol of the Israelite tribe of Judah, a tribe that consists of the descendants of Judah. Judah was the fourth son of Jacob.
On the obverse side of 2021 1 oz Niue Roaring Lion Head Silver Coins, you will find an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majestys bust is found in right-profile relief on this side of the coin with a background field of radiating lines. The Queen is shown here in the popular 1998 design from Ian Rank-Broadley that includes the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head.
The reverse field of 2021 Niue Roaring Lion Head Silver Coins includes a vision of the Roaring Lion of Judah. The lion is depicted in front-facing relief with a crown on its head. The rim of the crown on its head has an inscription of Send Out Your Light and Your Truth, with the Hebrew letters of Aleph and Tav inscribed on the face of the crown.
