2025 Liberia Four Seasons 2 oz Silver Antiqued High Relief Coin w/Stone Inserts

The four seasons change in a constant flow, depicted in a circular motion, repeating themselves in rotation on the coin. 

They follow each other, spring, which embodies openness to the possible and expectation, depicted as a woman waking up from the long winter season, surrounded by cherry blossoms, a fragile and “brave” plant because it blooms despite the cold night first warm rays of sunshine; after spring comes summer, the time of the solstice, as a proud woman surrounded by poppy flowers, a wild plant that makes the summer meadows full of life. 

Autumn is almost asleep, a metaphor for nature sleeping to cope with the cold winter months. This is the time of endings, but it also brings with it the urges of a new beginning. After all, winter, as a sleeping woman leaning against bare, unadorned branches, reflects the inner cold and harshness of life. The coin is decorated with two colored stones, the obverse in warm tones reminiscent of spring and summer, the reverse coin is beautifully depicted in cold tones for autumn and winter.
