The 2022 2 oz Stegosaurus Silver Coin – Dinosaurs of North America is the second in a three-coin set. “Dinosaurs of North America” is the name of the new series, which includes three coins shaped like dinosaurs that formerly roamed the world in North America. The Tyrannosaurus Rex is the first coin, followed by the Stegosaurus and Triceratops.
The spikey, plated dinosaur has a brain the size of a walnut but can measure up to 30 feet long and 14 feet tall. This giant beast is commonly known for the plates on its back and spikes on its tail, protecting it from predators. The colossal beast has been reduced to a two-ounce silver coin minted with .9999 pure silver, available for purchase today.
The animal’s skeleton outline is depicted on the obverse, with the weight and purity beneath the tail. Each coin has a unique serial number and a stamp of Queen Elizabeth II’s effigy.
