2024 Tuvalu Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Michelangelo 1 oz Silver Proof Coin

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are a band of pizza-loving brothers like no other. Exposed to ‘mutagenic ooze’ as baby turtles, they were transformed into crime-fighting New York superheroes expert in the art of ninjutsu.

Energetic, inventive and enthusiastic, Michelangelo is a wisecracking party dude famous for exclaiming ‘cowabunga’. Naturally gifted but reluctant to train, he frustrates his brothers, who believe that with more focus and discipline he could really excel at ninjutsu. Nevertheless, Mike or Mikey as he’s also known, is an impressive fighter. Michelangelo generally wears an orange eye-mask and his weapons of choice are nunchucks, which he handles with skill and precision.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Michelangelo 2024 1oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin.

The coin portrays Michelangelo in colour, busting through a brick wall with city buildings in the background. The design includes the inscription ‘MICHELANGELO’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The obverse portrays the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination, and 2024-year date.

Accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity, the coin is part of a series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character coins scheduled for release. Each piece comes in a presentation box and shipper, and the boxes of the coins stack together to form a city scape scene!
