Where wetlands areas are permanent, the swans are thought to be sedentary. However, if the wetlands dry out, they are capable of taking flight in search of suitable habitat. They have been sighted in semi-arid region including Central Australia, where there are semi-permanent and permanent waterholes.

This coin’s reverse portrays an image of a swan in the midst of grace—a symphony of wings as it readies for the ethereal embrace of the skies. The design includes a mountain range illuminated by a picturesque sunset and pretty lotus flowers floating in the water.

As well as the inscription ‘2025 1oz 9999 AUSTRALIAN SILVER SWAN’, the reverse also incorporates a ‘P’ mintmark.
