Description
2021 Canada Lake Louise 82.3 Grams Silver High Relief Coin NGC PF 70
Glines & Rhodes started as a family-owned precious metal refinery in 1915, and we still hold those family values. We are proud to feature this product on GR Reserve.
This stunning coin from the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) celebrates the beauty of Lake Louise. It is notable for its innovative use of Extraordinarily High Relief (EHR) technology, which the RCM applied to a 50mm coin for the first time. The design combines sunken relief for the lake and EHR for the mountains, creating a realistic three-dimensional landscape.
Key Features and Design
- Reverse: The design offers an overhead view of the Lake Louise area. The Canadian Rockies are brought to life with high-relief technology, and the iconic turquoise waters of Lake Louise are highlighted with a translucent colored enamel. The RCM frosted the mountain peaks and glaciers to give them a snow-capped appearance for the first time.
- Obverse: The obverse has a field pattern of contour lines, which mirrors a topographic map.
