2021 Niue Wildlife Up Close Kangaroo High Relief 1 oz Silver Coin

The fourth edition of the Wildlife series is dedicated to one of Australia’s most famous landmarks – the kangaroo. The motif shows the head of a kangaroo in the foreground and two other animals in the background, one of which is carrying a young animal in a pouch. The inscription “KANGAROO” is on the lower edge of the coin. On the back is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, “NIUE 2021”, “ONE DOLLAR” as well as weight and fineness are also included in the design. The coin was minted in brilliant ultra high relief from 1 ounce 99.9% silver and then given an antique finish. In the wild, kangaroos are only found in Australia, Tasmania and New Guinea. The best-known representatives of the species include the red and gray giant kangaroo. The marsupials can jump up to 3 m high and up to 9 m far with their powerful hind legs. The delivery of the limited Antique finish coin comes in the original wooden case including a certificate of authenticity.
