Daniel Craig was the sixth actor to play fictional British Secret Service agent James Bond on the big screen.
A graduate of the National Youth Theatre and Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Craig enjoyed a succession of acclaimed stage and screen appearances before he was approached to play Bond in 2005. Identified for his powerful charisma, exceptional versatility, and rugged looks, the classically trained actor was presented with an opportunity to redefine the male hero in the 21st century, he set out to add emotional depth to the famous character.

While delivering typically explosive action, Casino Royale, the first of Craig’s five Bond movies, showed 007 as
a more introspective individual whose thoughts and actions were shaped by his past. Revealing Bond’s inner
self, the pivotal movie set the tone for Craig’s portrayals in four more extraordinary films. A supporter of many
charitable and humanitarian causes, Daniel Craig was appointed Companion of the Order of St Michael and St
George for services to film and theatre in 2022.

The coin’s reverse portrays a black and white image of the celebrated actor in a classic Bond pose. The design includes the franchise’s iconic 007 gun barrel logo with inscriptions of Daniel Craig’s five Bond movies, including Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time To Die.

The coin’s obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II supplemented by the dates of her reign – ‘1952- 2022’. Also included are the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination, and 2024 year-date
