Perth Mint November 2026: Year of the Goat Lunar Coins and Kimberley Sunset Arrive

The Perth Mint opens November with a strong lineup led by the Year of the Goat. Indeed, the Australian Lunar Series III welcomes the Year of the Goat in several finishes and sizes. Moreover, two show specials and a rare diamond-set gold coin round out the month. Therefore, collectors of lunar coins and Australian landscapes both have plenty to watch.

Australian Lunar Series III: 2027 Year of the Goat 1oz Silver Gilded Coin

The gilded 1oz silver coin leads the Year of the Goat family. Notably, it portrays a mature goat, a young goat, and a baby goat grazing peacefully. The design embodies the auspicious phrase “Three Goats Bring Bliss,” which symbolizes the end of winter and the arrival of spring. Furthermore, a plum blossom tree adds meaning, since it represents purity, resilience, and hope. The goats shine in 24-carat gold against the silver field. Natasha Muhl created the reverse design. Each coin contains 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, and the maximum mintage reaches 25,000.

2027 Year of the Goat 1oz Silver Proof High Relief Coin

Collectors who prefer depth will appreciate the high relief edition. Specifically, the same three-goat design rises dramatically from the surface of a 1oz proof silver coin. The Perth Mint mints the reverse and obverse on concave surfaces. As a result, the metal flows fully into the die during the strike. Additionally, the coin measures 32.60mm across and 6.10mm thick, which gives it real presence. This edition has a maximum mintage of just 3,888.

Baby Goat 2027 1/2oz Silver Proof Colored Coin

The Baby Goat coin brings a playful tone to the series. Its colored reverse shows a young goat leaping over rocky ground and flowering plants, with a mountain backdrop behind. Meanwhile, the Chinese character for goat and the inscription “YEAR OF THE GOAT” complete the design. According to the lunar calendar, the Year of the Goat runs from 6 February 2027 to 25 January 2028. According to the sheet, babies born during this time are said to be blessed with artistic flair, compassion, and courageousness. Ing Ing Jong designed the reverse, and Jody Clark’s effigy of King Charles III appears on the obverse. The mintage is limited to 7,500, and the coin is a Tuvalu issue.

2026 Sydney Money Expo ANDA Special: Year of the Goat 1/4oz Silver Colored Coin in Card

This exclusive show special celebrates the 2026 Sydney Money Expo. The colored reverse depicts a family scene in the Australian Lunar Series III style. A majestic goat stands proudly against towering mountains, while his kid prances playfully nearby. Meanwhile, the mother goat rests beneath delicate cherry blossoms that signal the arrival of spring. Struck from 1/4oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin comes in a card that features the dates of the expo. Natasha Muhl designed the reverse, and the maximum mintage is 15,000.

Beijing International Coin Exposition: 2027 1/2oz Silver Gold-Plated Coin in Card

Another show special honors the Beijing International Coin Exposition. This 1/2oz coin carries the three-goat design in a striking gold-plated finish. Additionally, it uses 99.99% pure silver as its base and holds legal tender status under the Australian Currency Act 1965. The coin sits in a beautifully illustrated display card. With a maximum mintage of only 3,000, it stands out among the November releases.

Kimberley Sunset 2026 2oz Gold Proof High Relief Gilded Coin

The month closes with the most exclusive release of all. This 2oz gold proof high relief coin captures a boab tree against a glowing Kimberley sunset. The design celebrates the unique wilderness of far north Western Australia. Notably, the outer rim and image are gilded in 22-carat rose gold. An Argyle Pink Diamond is hand-set to resemble the setting sun, which casts a striking sunburst across the design. Furthermore, the coin carries the initials TV, which represent designer Thomas Vaughan. He also created the original Kimberley Sunset coin in 2015. The coin contains 2oz of 99.99% pure gold, and its maximum mintage is only 280.

Why November Stands Out for Collectors

This month blends tradition with rarity. Indeed, the Year of the Goat arrives across gilded, high relief, colored, and gold-plated finishes. Meanwhile, the two show specials give collectors a chance to own a piece tied to a major coin event. Additionally, the Kimberley Sunset coin pairs gold, rose gold gilding, and a pink diamond in a very small mintage. Therefore, November rewards both lunar series collectors and those who chase low mintage gold. Collectors can also review the Perth Mint October Release Guide or browse all 2026 coins.
