2022 Melbourne Money Expo ANDA Special Australian Kookaburra with Possum Privy Mark 1oz Silver Coin

Struck from 1oz of pure silver with colour in the design, this Australian Kookaburra coin has been prepared with an exclusive privy mark to celebrate ANDA’s Money Expo event in Melbourne on 23 and 24 July 2022.

The Australian Kookaburra is a sought-after coin series featuring annual designs of our iconic ‘laughing’ bird. In 2022, four privy mark issues of a coloured variant will be issued to mark ANDA Money Expo events in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Coloured privy mark

The Melbourne Money Expo ANDA Special portrays a kookaburra perched on an ornamental garden bath with agapanthus in the background. As well as The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the design includes a coloured privy mark representation of a Leadbeater Possum, the animal emblem of Victoria found predominantly in the mountain ash forests of the state’s central highlands.

The coin is housed in a superbly illustrated presentation card featuring the words MELBOURNE MONEY EXPO ANDA SPECIAL and the Australasian Numismatic Dealer’s Association’s logo.
