Celebrate the Year of the Goat in Pure Silver
The 2027 Australian Lunar Series III Year of the Goat 3.50 oz Silver Proof Three-Coin Set showcases exceptional craftsmanship from The Perth Mint. This limited-edition collection honors the eighth animal in the Chinese lunar calendar and combines stunning artistry with .9999 fine silver purity.
The set contains three proof-quality coins struck from a total of 3.50 troy ounces of pure silver. It includes a 2 oz coin, a 1 oz coin, and a 1/2 oz coin. Together, they create a remarkable display that appeals to both collectors and precious metals enthusiasts.
According to Chinese tradition, the Goat symbolizes compassion, creativity, and determination. People born in 2027, 2015, 2003, 1991, 1979, and every twelfth year before share this respected zodiac sign. As a result, this set makes a meaningful gift and a treasured collectible.
Symbolic Design with Rich Lunar Meaning
Each coin features a mature goat, a young goat, and a baby goat grazing peacefully. The design represents the traditional phrase “Three Goats Bring Bliss.” Furthermore, it symbolizes renewal, prosperity, and the arrival of spring.
A graceful plum blossom tree appears in the background. In Chinese culture, the plum blossom stands for hope, purity, and resilience. In addition, the design includes the Chinese character for Goat, the inscription “GOAT 2027,” and The Perth Mint’s famous “P” mintmark.
On the obverse, Dan Thorne’s effigy of His Majesty King Charles III appears in sharp detail. The design also displays each coin’s legal tender denomination, weight, and precious metal purity.
Limited Mintage and Exceptional Collectibility
The largest coin contains 2 troy ounces of silver, carries a $2 Australian face value, and measures 50.80 mm in diameter. The 1 oz coin bears a $1 denomination and measures 40.90 mm. Meanwhile, the 1/2 oz coin carries a 50-cent denomination and measures 32.60 mm.
The Perth Mint struck every coin to proof quality standards. Consequently, each piece features mirrored backgrounds and frosted design elements that highlight the intricate artwork.
Only 1,000 complete sets will be released worldwide. Therefore, collectors have a rare opportunity to secure an exclusive Lunar Series III issue. The individual coin mintages remain equally limited, with just 2,000 examples of the 2 oz coin, 7,500 examples of the 1 oz coin, and 5,000 examples of the 1/2 oz coin.
