Scourge of the Seven Seas, BLACK MANTA™ on New Chibi® Coin!
Considered one of AQUAMAN’s greatest enemies, BLACK MANTATM has a singular hatred for the King of Atlantis. For decades, Manta’s true name and motives were shrouded in mystery, hidden behind his menacing oversize helmet. In modern times, however, his true motivations have been revealed.
But no matter the era, BLACK MANTATM has always inflicted a special kind of pain upon his archenemy, cementing his reputation as one of the most ruthless and driven criminals in DC history.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the coin is fully coloured and shaped to resemble him in his specialized diving suit, menacing black and red helmet and holding his sword, as seen in the 2018 film, Aquaman. To bring this supervillain to life, some relief has been added to the design. The gilded version is fully engraved with brilliant frosting and mirror-finish details – imagine opening the box to find one of those!
Engraved on the obverse is the Public Seal of Niue, confirming it as legal tender. The worldwide mintage is limited to 2,000 coins – with just 200 of those being gilded!
A high-quality, themed box keeps your coin safe and includes a large display window on the front. A Certificate of Authenticity and the coin’s unique number in the mintage are included on the back, along with the specifications confirming it’s made with 999 fine silver.
