2021 Australia ANDA Expo Year of the Ox Colorized 1/4oz Silver Coin NGC MS 70

This Sydney Money Expo Special Release is part of the Australian Lunar Series III from the Perth Mint and is dedicated to the Year of the Ox. The second issue of the 12-year Lunar III Series was struck from a 1/4 ounce of silver and features a colored image of an ox and its calf. Also included in the design are the Chinese character for “Ox”, the inscription “OX 2021” and the traditional mintmark “P” of the Perth Mint. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination, the weight and the fineness. Oxen possess an enormous work force and are the oldest documented draft animals. Those born under the sign of the Chinese ox are considered friendly, intelligent, honest and reliable. They are characterized by a high work ethic, logical thinking and composure, which makes them good leaders. The limited show special silver coin in uncirculated quality is delivered in the original blistercard of the Perth Mint.
