Celebrating the 2021 Year of the Ox, the coin is specially packaged to commemorate the 2020 Sydney Australasian Numismatic Dealer’s Association (ANDA) Money Expo, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- This 2021 Year of the Ox coin is minted from 1/4 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver.
- The 25.60 diameter coin is accented with beautifully rendered, realistic color.
- The coin is one of only 2,021 out of the coin’s maximum mintage of 15,000 to feature specially designed, limited edition 2020 Sydney Money Expo card style packaging.
Heartwarming Ox Design
Obverse: The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, encircled by the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” “1/4 OZ 9999 AG” and “25 CENTS.” The portrait was created by Jody Clark, a sculptor/engraver for Great Britain’s Royal Mint since 2012.
Reverse: The reverse depicts an adult ox walking beneath a blooming cherry tree beside a playful calf. Inscribed “OX,” “2021,” the Perth Mint mark “P” and Chinese character for “ox.”
