2023 Mongolia Year of the Rabbit .5g Gold Proof Coin

Lunar Year issues are always popular with collectors, and the ones CIT strike for Mongolia have become annual favorites! The 2023 issue, which features the «Year of the Rabbit», will celebrate the 7^th anniversary of the series. Like in past years, there will be three distinct and highly collectible releases – a unique one ounce silver coin in the shape of a Rabbit, a five gram silver banknote, and a half gram gold proof.

The first is struck in one ounce of fine silver and shows the sweet silver rabbit as a three-dimensional numismatic sculpture. Have a look on its cute face and the floppy ear. It will immediately make you smile. It is minted in a way that allows it to stand freely on its own which makes it an ideal display and conversation piece. It comes presented in an elegant collector’s box and is limited to only 999 pieces.

The second release shows the rabbit on a highly detailed five gram silver banknote. This special banknote shows wonderfully the contrast between the different silver finishes as well as the brilliant color that has been expertly applied. This note carries a Legal Tender denomination of 100 Togrog and is limited to only 5,000 pieces. Lastly, the rabbit is proudly displayed on a half gram gold proof. Meant as a perfect complement to the silver coin and banknote, you will see the image which is similar to the way the one ounce shaped coin looks. The rabbit is encircled by a highly detailed border and carries a mintage of only 5000 pieces.
