2025 Liberia Battle of Midway 2 oz Silver Proof Like UV Printed Coin

The Battle of Midway was a major naval battle in the Pacific Theater of World War II that took place on 4-7 June 1942, six months after Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.

The reverse of the coin depicts the middle of the fight between two belligerent parties.  There is an SBD Dauntless flying high with a stars and stripes behind it.  A Japanese AM Zero that is falling down with a broken engine.  Another Zero is being chased by an American F4F Wildcat.

The obverse shows a more serene view with the American Dauntless taking off from the USS Enterprise.  There is nothing superficial when it comes to a more calm scene because the aircraft carriers of the warring opponents could have been p to 155 miles apart.
