The 1/4 oz Proof American Gold Eagle Coin (Random Year) represents the official collectible version of the United States’ flagship gold bullion program. First introduced in 1988 in this fractional size, the Proof Gold Eagle combines iconic American design with refined minting quality and government-backed gold content.

Each coin contains 1/4 troy ounce of actual gold weight and carries a face value of $10 USD backed by the United States government. Struck in 22-karat gold with a purity of .9167, the coin measures 22 mm in diameter and 1.83 mm thick, with a classic reeded edge. The United States Mint produces these coins at West Point, New York.
