The Perth Mint is proud to unveil its April 2026 collection. Admired globally, these new coins showcase Australia’s most famous wildlife, historic events, and cultural symbols, offering a variety of unique options for every collector.
H.M. Queen Elizabeth II 100th Anniversary
H.M. Queen Elizabeth II 100th Anniversary 2026 2oz Gold Proof High Relief Coin

Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926 and ascended the throne in 1952 at the age of 25. Her reign spanned 70 years, making her the longest-serving monarch in British history. In 2026, the world commemorates what would have been her 100th birthday.
The coin’s reverse includes five effigies of Queen Elizabeth II, each featured on coins produced by The Perth Mint, representing distinct periods of her historic reign. At the center sits the most recent effigy by Jody Clark (2019), surrounded by Ian Rank-Broadley (1998), Raphael Maklouf (1985), Arnold Machin (1966) and Mary Gillick (1953). Additionally, the background features Australia’s national floral emblem, the golden wattle. Furthermore, Perth Mint strikes the coin’s high relief reverse and obverse on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal. Perth Mint limits this piece to 100 worldwide.

Hobart ANDA Money Expo Special – 40th Anniversary of the Australian Nugget Program 2026 1oz Silver Gilded Coin in Card

The Australian Nugget was the first legal tender gold coin program to be manufactured by The Perth Mint since the completion of sovereign production in 1931, debuting in 1986 with artistic representations celebrating historic Australian natural gold nuggets by designer Stuart Devlin.
The coin’s reverse depicts the Welcome Stranger, the largest nugget ever recorded. Notably, prospectors John Deason and Richard Oates unearthed it at Moliagul, Victoria in February 1869, and their 2,284-ounce find was too large for the scales and had to be broken into three pieces before weighing. Furthermore, the coin carries 24-carat gold gilding and arrives in a card featuring the dates of the 2026 Hobart Money Expo. Perth Mint limits this coin to 2,000 worldwide.

The coin’s reverse features the Emperor’s grand ship and imperial tent, set against the sweeping desert landscape of Arrakis. Moreover, the foreground highlights the desert mouse known as Muad’Dib, an evolved kangaroo mouse native to Arrakis, revered by the Fremen for its adaptability and spiritual symbolism. ANZAC Day
ANZAC Day 2026 $1 Coin in Card

Anzac Day falls on 25 April each year, the day Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the Gallipoli peninsula in 1915. Since 1916, it has been dedicated to commemorative activities honoring the courage and sacrifice of the first ANZACs during World War I and all succeeding Defense Force personnel.
The coin portrays a slouch hat and red poppy flowers, both iconic symbols closely tied to the identity of the Australian Army. Additionally, the design includes a motif representing a torch and an eternal flame, along with the inscriptions ’25 APRIL’ and ‘LEST WE FORGET’, the year-date and a ‘P’ mintmark. Furthermore, Perth Mint houses the uncirculated aluminum bronze coin in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse design. Lunar Series
Year of the Horse Rotating Charm 2026 1oz Silver Antiqued Coin

In 2026 the lunar calendar marks the Year of the Horse. Independent, charismatic and adventurous, the horse is said to bestow many positive characteristics on people born during its years of influence, including 2026, 2014, 2002 and 1990.
The coin incorporates a rotating gold-plated sterling silver bead resembling a horse. Moreover, four illustrated horses in varying poses surround it, set amid stylized foliage. Additionally, Perth Mint individually antiqued each coin to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact. As a result, the appearance of each coin may vary.
