In 1946 the World’s First Bikini debuted in Paris. This medal commemorates the historic event by showcasing the first model from that Paris show. Made from 2 oz of pure silver, the obverse of this medal attempts to capture the beauty and nuance of the first bikini as it came down the runway. The reverse features the Eiffel Tower in a humorous depiction to commemorate the event.
